The transformation at Bowhouse, from working dairy farm to The Scottish Equestrian Centre has been relatively swift.
Phase 1
Conversion of the existing fields into paddocks, all with their own water supply, post and rail fencing and protected by an offset mains electric tripwire.
Phase 2
Conversion of the calf shed block in the farm steading into ten purpose built boxes.
Phase 3
Conversion of the old dairy office block into a social area with comfy chairs, tea & coffee, toilet
Phase 4
Clearing of the outdoor yards and the setting up of the parking areas for cars, lorries, trailers
Phase 5
Conversion
of the main cow shed into a reasonably sized indoor arena
Phase 6
Conversion of the old milking parlour and bull/calving pen areas into a further 14 livery boxes
Phase 7
Building of more roadways for hacking, through the adjacent 140 acres of woodland
Phase 8
Building of 6 more stable boxes in the old hay/straw shed adjoining the western edge of the indoor arena
Phase 9
Building of a new outdoor arena with an adjacent covered shelter and good access
Phase 10
Setting up of an isolation box, with its own paddock, both sitting completely separate from the main steading block.
Phase 11
Setting up of the horse treatment area in the old dairy block on the north side of the steading.
Phase 12
building of a new stable block with 15 boxes in the corner field on the western edge of the steading.
