Livery Yard Rules |
- No one is allowed to ride on this yard without a hard hat to current standards (PAS 015 or BS EN1384). Safe footware must also be worn when mounted i.e. not wellies or trainers.
- Livery Owners may only ride in areas permitted by the Proprietor. e.g. no riding in stable blocks or amongst turned out horses.
- Liveries should notify staff before leaving on a hack and when they intend to return. A mobile phone should be carried.
- All injuries, accidents and damages must be reported to staff immediately.
- Whilst moving horses/ponies anywhere at Bowhouse, they must be fitted with both a headcollar and lead rope. cavesson, halter or bridle.
- NEVER leave one horse in the field on its own. Either notify the owner or a member of staff.
- NO horse to be tied up in the passageway unless illness/lameness warrants it. Horses must be tied to existing tie points only.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the yard. Please make sure that you and any visitors only smoke in designated areas.
- Return tools to specified area immediately after use.
- All litter must go in bins. DO not put dung, straw, hay or feed into the bins.
- Please keep the yard clear of tack, brushes, halters, hoof pickings or manure - clear up after yourself and your horse, including after the farrier.
- Any item left at Bowhouse is left entirely at your own risk. Bowhouse accepts no responsibility or liability for any of your property. Lost property can be found in the Riding School Tack Room in the Lost Property Box.
- For security reasons, tack room keys should not be copied.
- All horses/ponies must be vaccinated against equine flu and tetanus.
- All children must be supervised by an adult and adhere to yard rules.
- Liveries and visitors must conduct themselves in a responsible and considerate manner.
- Please note in order to maintain general cleanliness, charges will be implemented for liveries who fail to tidy up after themselves or their horse and stables not mucked/skipped out within 7 days.
